The story of Dark Symphony of Angels is one of patience, evolution, and an unbreakable creative bond. It began not with a symphony, but with the raw energy of hard rock and metal.

The initial seeds were sown in the band Sentinel, a project forged between myself, my brother Kieran, and friend Iain. When Sentinel reached its end, the musical partnership between the brothers continued, evolving into Zwei. Under this name, we delved deeper into hard rock and metal, recording original tracks and honing our craft as a covers band.

But life, as it often does, intervened. A hiatus of over twenty years followed as we both married and raised families. The amps were turned down, but the music never truly fell silent. The drive to create remained, and during this time, a new concept began to form—one that aligned more closely with my personal tastes for industrial and gothic metal. This was Dark Symphony of Angels.

In 2004, the vision became a reality with the release of the first solo album, The Darkest Theme. For the next two decades, while family life took centre stage, material was steadily written and archived, waiting for the right moment to emerge.

That moment came with the discovery of generative music tools like Suno. This technology became the key that unlocked the archives, breathing new life into dormant ideas. It not only enabled the completion of the long-awaited second album, Re-emergence, but also provided a way to faithfully recreate the initial vision for The Darkest Theme. The old anthems of Sentinel and Zwei were also revisited and reworked, resurrected for a new era.

Today, the symphony is louder than ever. With the revival of Zwei and a new album in the works, the original partnership is reforged. Simultaneously, Dark Symphony of Angels is pushing into the future, with a third album, Perfect Insanity, planned for release in 2026.

This is more than just a musical project; it's the chronicle of a lifetime's passion, resurrected by technology, and driven by an unwavering need to explore the beauty in darkness.
